Brian Langley
Pastor

Pastor Brian Langley has been in the ministry since 1999.  Brian was born and raised in Bakersfield, California, growing up in a loving, Christian home and gave his life to Christ at the age of 8.  In 1993, he met Lisa, and soon after joined the Shafter Missionary Baptist Church.  Brian & Lisa were married in 1995, serving together in the Shafter church in many capacities.  In 1999, Brian recognized God's call, and surrendered his life to the ministry.  In 2002 he accepted the call of the Central Coast Missionary Baptist Church to be their pastor, and served there nearly 7 years.  In 2009, Brian & Lisa returned to Bakersfield, where he pastored First Missionary Baptist Church for over 13 years.  Finally, Pastor Brian accepted the call of Hillside Baptist Church in 2022, and moved to Knoxville, TN.

Brian & Lisa have 2 children; Grant (2001) and Hannah (2004).  Brian & Lisa are avid hikers and hockey fans.  He served as the chaplain for the Bakersfield Condors (AHL) from 2012-2022 and now as a hospice chaplain.  Brian is a member of the Standing Missionary Committee for the American Baptist Association.
